Yoga is a journey, not a destination.....

Here's a little about my own personal journey with yoga:

Firstly, I'm passionate about movement and have participated in numerous sports including playing football (soccer) for over 18 years. I came to yoga after having established a regular martial arts practice and have trained throughout the UK, Europe, America and Japan as both a classical martial arts and modern self-defence instructor.

These days, if you don't see me at yoga class, you can most likely find me exploring other ways to connect to flow state whether that's though artwork and sewing, quiet time in the garden or out in nature learning outdoor living and bush craft skills.

I've been sharing the tools of yoga in Exeter for over 15 years and I'm a registered Yoga Elder with
Yoga Teachers Together. Each yoga class I offer is an invitation to connect deeply to the flow of breath while encouraging greater self-awareness and well-being through movement and stillness.

And for those who need a little more zig in order to reach a state of flow, I also offer fun, playful and dynamic beginner and intermediate Acroyoga Classes with co-teacher Chris Clayton-Jones. Acroyoga is a blending together of the wisdom of yoga, the dynamic power of acrobatics, and loving kindness of Thai Yoga Massage.

And finally, to better enable you to understand my approach to yoga and movement arts, here is a helpful list of some of the things I have studied along my yoga journey - the studies listed below are my "toolboxes" from which I share the tools that I have I tried and tested and which work for me. I look forward to sharing what I have learned in the hopes that these tools may help you too.

And finally, I also teach yoga on the Devon School of Yoga Foundation and Teacher Training Courses as well as do the admin for the school along side Barry Elms, James Russell, and the school's founding director, Duncan Hulin.
